The standard starting dose is 0.2mg of CBD per kg of body weight, once daily. For more significant conditions, a medicinal dose of 0.5mg per kg is appropriate. For example, a 30lb dog (13.6kg) would receive approximately 2.7mg on a standard dose. Refer to the dosage charts above for exact ml measurements by product strength.

For anxiety, most dogs benefit from the medicinal dose — 0.5mg per kg of body weight — given 30 to 60 minutes before a stressful event such as thunderstorms, car rides, or vet visits. Start at the standard dose and increase gradually after 7 to 10 days if needed. King KALM 150mg and 300mg are the most commonly used strengths for anxiety.

Each King KALM CBD oil comes with a graduated oral syringe for precise measurement. To convert mg to ml, divide the recommended dose by the product's concentration per ml. King KALM 300mg in a 30ml bottle equals 10mg per ml — so a 3mg dose is 0.3ml. The dosage charts above show the exact ml per dose for each product and weight range.

CBD toxicity in dogs is uncommon but possible at very high doses. Symptoms of too much CBD include temporary drowsiness, mild loss of coordination, drooling, low blood pressure, and in rare cases vomiting.
