How Much to Feed by Life Stage
Use your dog's ideal body weight — not their current weight if they're overweight. Adjust up or down based on energy level and body condition.
Standard Feeding
Of your dog's ideal body weight. Active dogs should be toward the higher end; lower-energy or less-active dogs toward the lower end.
Growth Feeding
Puppies and pregnant or nursing females have higher nutritional demands and need more food relative to their body weight.
Weight Management
Older dogs and those needing to lose weight benefit from a slightly reduced portion. Always base on ideal — not current — body weight.

Calculated at 2.5% of body weight — a good starting point for most adult dogs. Adjust based on your dog's response over 1–2 weeks.

Thawing & Serving Instructions
King Kanine raw food ships frozen. Follow these steps to serve it safely and at peak freshness.
Receive Frozen
Products ship frozen and tightly packed with dry ice or ice packs. If items arrive partially thawed, they are safe to thaw completely and refreeze.
Thaw 24 Hours Before
Move the portion you need from the freezer to the refrigerator 24 hours before serving. Never thaw at room temperature.
Serve & Customize
Serve chilled or at room temperature. Feel free to add dog-safe vegetables, grains, or supplements to customize the meal. Consult your vet for specific dietary needs.
Store Leftovers
Thawed raw food keeps in the fridge for 3–4 days. Refreeze any unused portions within 2 days of thawing. Do not leave out for more than 30 minutes.
