At KING KANINE, we are constantly motivated by the love that can develop between canines and humans. Through our own experience and that of our customers we have learned that all dogs are capable of loving and caring for a family.
That’s why we encourage our friends, families, and the King Kanine community, to rescue a dog in need, as opposed to buying one in a pet store.
There are currently millions of pets out there in need of a family and a loving home.
The love a rescue dog gives is like no other, and anyone that has had dogs from pet stores and dogs they rescued will say the same thing.
Marcus, a 36 year old police officer, says that he has rescued a few dogs and the loyalty and love his family felt from the rescues they took in has been second to none.
"It's almost like they know that you saved their life" said Marcus. "I've had several dogs throughout my life, but the ones we've rescued just seem to pay attention a bit more, they seem to want to sit a little closer to you and are always right at the door when we get home, every single time. Not most of the time; every time."
Since our early days, KING KANINE has been deeply involved with numerous amazing organizations dedicated to rescuing pets of any species and ensuring that at a minimum, they feel the love and affection that all living beings deserve.
By helping rescue organizations raise funds and gain recognition, and by donating grooming tools and Pet CBD products, we have contributed to the selfless work these organizations do every day. Along the way we have met and worked with some of the most amazing folks who dedicate their own lives to saving the lives of abandoned and stray pets.
The team at KING KANINE has seen first hand how much time and effort these organizations and their members put in daily, like Zach from Marley's Mutts and his volunteers who work tirelessly around the clock to help animals in need. The team from New York Bully Crew, (who loves the KING KANINE line), is another great organization dedicated to lifting helpless domestic dogs that have been abandoned by their people out of unimaginable conditions and providing them with proper care and affection.
"Seeing these dogs go from the most adverse situations to a loving home makes it all worth it,” says KING KANINE founder Jeff Riman. “We will continue to support these amazing rescues and help however we can. We just ask in return that if you are reading this and are looking for a family pet, please, Adopt before you shop.”
If you are interested in adopting an animal, check out these pet rescue sites before heading to the pet store. And don’t forget to encourage others to adopt--not buy-- a cute furry companion that will always be loyal, because you gave them a second chance at life.
